ICT Technician

Starting Date: 22nd July 2024

Full Time, 35 hours a week, 52 weeks per year

Salary: Grade 5, Point 12-15 (on appointment £30,174)

We are looking to appoint a knowledgeable and professional individual to support our current provision of effective technical services to Greenford High School students and staff.

About Greenford High School

Over the last decade we have consistently achieved outcomes that have placed us in the top 5-10% of schools nationally for student progress. We aim for all students to achieve excellent academic results, but we are also a truly comprehensive school which tries to get the best out of every child, whatever their ability or circumstances. We are known for our exceptionally strong relationships between staff and students. Our facilities are superb with a university campus style layout and extensive IT facilities. We also have one of the largest Post-16 Centres in London with designated study and support areas.

Our IT Department

The team consists of 4 staff members; our Network Manager and Senior Technician both have a strong knowledge of the school’s network, and both have been working at the school for over 7 years. Greenford High School maintains most of its’ IT services in house The school owns all our hardware infrastructure including servers, networking equipment and all client endpoints.  You will therefore have the opportunity to gain hands on experience with a variety of technologies, some of these include Active Directory (AD), ZENWorks, Microsoft Admin Centre, Google Admin Console.  You will also be working with a range of hardware; Promethean activpanels, laptops, chromebooks and desktops.
