Post-16 results day
We are looking forward to celebrating our Post 16 students' achievements on Thursday 13th August 2020.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are no longer able to email results to student email accounts. Students will therefore need to come in to collect results. Details have been sent to parents via email / text. Please check email / text before coming in tomorrow.
Please note that we cannot discuss Centre Assessed Grades on results day. Students who have not got into the university of their choice may write an email to Ms Johal (Deputy Headteacher), to request their Centre Assessed Grades from 17th August 2020 until 21st August 2020. Any requests received after these dates will be dealt with from the 2nd September, for a 2 week period only. They should not approach their individual teachers. In addition, parents/guardians cannot make this request on behalf of students.
You will be aware, from the news, that OfQual have said that only schools can appeal results. Individuals cannot appeal results. If we feel that any of our students' grades should be appealed, we will work through this process immediately, in the same way that we have always done if we have felt that our students have been unfairly disadvantaged by the exam boards.
You may have also heard some information about the possible use of mock exam results. Once we know more about this, we will, of course, let you know the best course of action.
Please do not put individual teachers in a difficult position and ask them for Centre Assessed grades - they have been instructed not to share any information with students and parents, so that we can ensure that data protection is not breached.
