The event saw students from across the borough give wonderful speeches on a whole variety of topics with Greenford represented by Daniel and Zoe from Year 10.

Lisa Godfrey from the Speaker’s Trust commented: “It was a wonderful success and a lovely evening. I was so pleased and proud for all our young speakers.

“My heartfelt thanks go to the wonderful team of Greenford student and staff helpers and musicians – everyone did an outstanding and wonderful job, doing the school and region proud.”

The winners of the regional final were:

• Regional Champion: Jerry Ndi, Northolt High School
• Runner-Up: Terriesia Blackstock, The Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls
• Third: Ben Watson, Featherstone High School
