GHS celebrates excellent GCSE results!
Greenford High School is thrilled to report another excellent set of GCSE results.
76% achieved Grades 5+ in English and 69% achieved Grade 5+ in Maths. 81% achieved both 9-4 in English and Maths, combined. Over a third achieved Grades 9-7 in English and Maths and we were also particularly delighted with performance in Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Further Maths where the top grades of 9-7 were achieved by 42%, 58%, 60%, 63% and 87% respectively.
Whilst all of our students have done exceptionally well, there are some stand out achievements that deserve a special mention. Our top performer is Elias Alrubaye who achieved grade 9s in all of his subjects, an outstanding achievement! Yasmin Gunes, Mariam Sediqh, Maymuna Nazrul Bhuiyaa, Maryam Omar, Tia Patel, Krystelle Cases, Reva Singh, Hareema Wesal, Zeina Akash, Kishal Chhetri and Maryam Asim all gained at least 8 subjects at grade 8 or 9.
We are also extremely proud of Adam Plecha, Amariah Wright, Amr Al-Saedi, Sam Maqsudi and Kirthika Vimalanathan who all made incredible progress, gaining results that were on average at least 3 grades higher than their target outcomes!
Headteacher Mia Pye said: “The last few years have been incredibly difficult for students who have sat exams in 2023, and I am so very proud of all of our students for these excellent results.
“These results once again position GHS as a first-class school to study the full range of academic subjects, and indicate that as a fully comprehensive, non-selective school, GHS will once again be amongst the top performing schools nationally.”
Greenford High School looks forward to welcoming those students who will be returning to our Post 16 Centre in September, and we wish all the best to those who are moving on elsewhere.
