Year 10 subject work, links and resources can be found below. Students are encouraged to work following their school timetable wherever possible.
We recommend students particularly focus on the core subjects of English, Maths and Science alongside their GCSE option subjects.
In addition to the work and resources below, students can access a range of online resources on our E-Learning page.
All Year 10 students should also be reading fiction or non-fiction every day.

Students have been researching and exploring their first three artists for component 1.

Complete all artist research and mimics.
Take photos in response to artist 3 and produce a double page of drawings in colour pencil, pen or watercolour (from own photos taken. Please do not use secondary sources).

GCSE Art Year 2
Component 2: (Exam topic) ‘Event’
Students have begun to develop ideas for their final outcome for component 2. They need to continue to plan and experiment with different media which will prepare them for their exam.

Complete a minimum of 2 x A3 double page spreads of media experiments based on your recent photos. If possible, take ‘new and improved’ photos that continue to help your final piece development (these photos should relate to the first images you took, not a completely different idea) Email for help if stuck!
Please use support booklets to help you annotate your ideas
Produce another double page of ideas in response to improved photos.
Draw at least two mock final outcomes.

Ideas for the final outcome can be explored through thumbnail sketches. Remember to briefly annotate to explain idea.
You can produce another photo-shoot for idea 2 on your phones/own camera and experiment with editing these using your phone/own software.
Continue refining (if possible!) photos in preparation for your final piece which you will create during the exam on Tues 28th and Thurs 30th April.
If you would like photos to be seen by teacher, please limit reduce size to medium.

Students should make flashcards, quiz themselves with their flashcards and also quizlet.
Review the 'know it' section for the topic (making notes, answering the questions and checking their answers) and then complete the relevant knowledge mat.
More specific instructions will be given on google classroom.
Mixed classes should work on the Physics Energy topic.
Sets 1 and 2 should work on Homeostasis from Biology, Chemical Changes from Chemistry and Electricity from Physics.
Google Classroom codes should have been sent via email by your Science teacher, if this is not the case please email your Science teacher directly.
